Since joining the company, Neil has delivered developments with a construction value of over £150 million, managing the day-to-day delivery of the design process through to Practical Completion. He was primarily responsible for delivering all elements of the multi-phased First Street scheme prior to its disposal to PATRIZIA in June 2015, and is now retained by the current owners in a Development Management role, assisting with the delivery of the ongoing Masterplan amounting to a current construction pipeline of c.£160 million.
Jointly with John Hughes, Neil is also working on the delivery of the highly complex Embankment and Bauer Millett developments in Manchester City Centre.
Embankment is a joint venture with Carillion, Tristan Capital Partners and Network Rail, the first phase of which comprises a 165,000 sq ft Grade A office building, 442 space multi-storey car park and associated public realm. This scheme with a contract value of £35 million has recently completed and is now fully let to Swinton Insurance Group. The second and final phase of development comprises 166,000 sq ft of Grade A office accommodation and is due to commence in Q2 2018.
The Bauer Millett development is also a complex and extensive regeneration project which is currently in the early stages of its design delivery. Proposed is a high rise mixed use development which when complete, will enhance the existing surrounding cityscape and bring employment opportunities to this under-utilised area of the city centre. A planning application has been submitted and a decision is expected in Summer 2017.
Together the Embankment and Bauer Millett developments amount to over £200 million in construction value, and represent two of Ask's key project in the Region.
