Ask Real Estate (Ask) has launched its public consultation programme ahead of submitting a planning application to develop a 7.8 acre plot at Manchester Business Park, off Aviator Way, close to Manchester Airport. Ask acquired the site last month and plans to build 9 prime last mile logistics units, delivering circa 115,000 sq ft of space.
The consultation provides the local community, stakeholders and neighbouring businesses with an opportunity to review the emerging proposals, speak with the project team and share feedback to help shape the final plans ahead of the submission of the formal planning application to Manchester City Council later this year.
Jamie Hills, development director at Ask said: “Our proposals will bring a currently unused site into productive use, creating modern logistics and light industrial units designed to meet strong local demand. The development would support new job opportunities and contribute to the continued growth of Wythenshawe’s economy and we’re hoping people will contact us online or join us in person to find out more about our plans.”
The high-quality units would appeal to a range of businesses including those in hi-tech industries, aviation, logistics and warehousing in a prime location which is within Manchester Airport’s strategic employment site and adjacent to MIX MANCHESTER.
The units would range in size from 6,700 sq ft to 21,646 sq ft and will be designed to deliver the highest sustainability and smart credentials. They will be BREEAM Excellent, EPC A and designed to be net zero in operation, while new planting, trees and landscaped areas will enhance the site’s appearance and biodiversity.
The site has immediate access to the Junction 5 of the M56 and A555, providing excellent connectivity locally and regionally with global connections via Manchester Airport.
People are invited to join the developers and planning team at Manchester Business Park Marketing Suite, Aviator Way, Manchester M22 5TG on Monday 3rd November from 14.00 – 19.00 hrs to find out more about the proposals.
