A Chartered Surveyor with over 20 years of experience, Jamie is working on a number of high profile schemes in the Ask portfolio including the company’s flagship development at First Street in Manchester City Centre where he has held the role of development manager for the delivery of NO8 First Street and more recently, for the Government Property Agency which achieved Practical Completion in January 2025 for its 130,000 sq ft Hub. This is the first office building in Manchester to achieve a 5.5 star NABERS rating.

Whilst playing a key role in bringing forward the continuing expansion of the First Street Estate, Jamie also works collaboratively with various Retail and Leisure agents to ensure the F&B and amenity offer so crucial in attracting new occupiers, continues to thrive.

Away from First Street, and working in partnership with Salford City Council, Jamie has led on the majority of office lettings, bringing the 166,000 sq ft Grade A office building, 100 Embankment, to full occupancy.

Working alongside M&G Real Estate, Jamie has also been instrumental in completing the refurbishment of an existing Grade A office building in Manchester City Centre. With a major ESG focus, the building rebranded Aviary, has seen a succession of high-profile lettings and a phase two is now underway.

Jamie is also heading up the marketing and lettings strategy for Horizon, a new prime logistics/light industrial development at Manchester Business Park, adjacent to Manchester Airport, as well as acting in the role of development manager for M&G Real Estate to bring a 55,000 sq ft Grade A office building to the traditional financial core in Manchester City Centre.

When did you join Ask?
I joined Ask’s development team from the MCR Property Group, a North West-based property investment and development firm in 2011.

What do you bring to the team? 
I feel I have valuable experience of managing out large scale development projects, which requires key skills such as problem solving, budget management and negotiation.

I have also built up an in-depth knowledge of the office market within Manchester City Centre through the development of existing working relationships and market knowledge. This has allowed me to broker a number of high profile office occupier deals, including bringing Autotrader, Ford Credit and Gazprom to First Street.

What is the best holiday you have been on and where is your dream destination?
I went to the Gilli Islands Indonesia last year – a truly idyllic place! I’m desperate to go to Hawaii and Whistler – preferably a week in Whistler skiing and then straight of a flight to Hawaii to relax and warm up.

What’s your hometown famous for?
Doncaster is famous for its horse racing with the St. Leger being the oldest ‘Classic’  in the world and, love him or hate him, Jeremy Clarkson.

What’s your signature dish (and does anyone else agree)?
Homemade chicken and mushroom pie!! (although I don’t make the pastry!!!)

Where do your sporting allegiances lie?
Unfortunately it’s got to be my hometown football club. Doncaster Rovers!

What have you done that’s made you proud?
I recently completed a lifetime achievement of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro raising substantial charitable funds for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
