Rossetti Place & Bauhaus at Rossetti

Manchester City Centre

What:

Manchester’s first truly mixed use development incorporating both a place to work and a place to live.

Why:

To respond to the early regeneration of Quay Street, the lack of available Grade A office accommodation and the emergence of the adjacent Spinningfields scheme.

How:

Recognised as the first truly mixed use scheme in the city, Rossetti Place was delivered in two phases.  Phase 1 comprised a striking glass and steel office building of 60,000 sq ft and an adjoining apartment complex with 89 high end residential apartments whilst Phase 2 – Bauhaus at Rossetti – was designed to mirror the first phase, with a further 60,000 sq ft office and 67 apartments.  Enhancing Rossetti Place and set within the former old schoolhouse, the Great John Street Hotel is an independent boutique hotel contrasting Victorian and modern contemporary design.

We created:

  • Two Grade A office buildings
  • Three self contained studio offices
  • 156 luxury apartments
  • Facilitated the restoration of the old school into Great John Street boutique hotel
