What:
A new urban business quarter – the first in the town’s history.
Why:
To significantly meet the Council’s economic repositioning and regeneration agenda following the improved connectivity provided by the opening of the M60 motorway and Metrolink.
How:
St Petersfield is an award-winning urban business quarter delivering “out of town” quality floorspace in this traditional market town. Extensive areas of high quality public realm were created first followed by a new office development anchored by Pennine Care NHS Trust and a Primary Care Centre operated by Tameside and Glossop PCT. A bespoke 3 storey building for Tameside College offering business courses for local entrepreneurs completed in 2011.
